Our Programs
Empowering Women. Shaping Futures.
At She Goes Digital, our programs are crafted to inspire, equip, and support adolescent girls and young women with the digital tools and skills they need to thrive. From hands-on learning to creative exploration and tech advocacy, we focus on real impact in the lives of rural and underserved communities.
Biashara Dijitali
Biashara Dijitali means Digital Business in Swahili. It is our flagship program designed for women running small and growing businesses.
Through this program, we equip them with practical digital marketing skills, content creation tips, and strategies to boost their businesses online.
Participants also benefit from mentorship, peer learning, and access to digital tools that help them stand out in a competitive digital space. Whether they run a salon, sell farm produce, or offer local services, Biashara Dijitali helps them grow their customer base, increase sales, and build a strong digital presence.
Mrembo Tech
MremboTech is a fun school holiday program for teenage girls in high school. It introduces them to STEM through games, group projects, and creative activities.
Girls learn how to code. They explore robotics, digital design, and safe internet use. Every session is practical, playful, and easy to follow.
They also meet women working in tech and science. These mentors talk to them about careers, personal goals, and how to plan for life after high school.
MremboTech helps girls build confidence, discover new interests, and think differently about their future.
Tektok Hackathon
TekTok is a university hackathon where students design tech-driven ideas that promote women’s rights and gender equality.
Participants work in teams to explore real-world gender issues and develop creative digital solutions. They’re guided by mentors, supported by workshops, and challenged to think boldly.
At the end, teams present their ideas to a panel of judges. The best concepts stand out for their innovation, relevance, and potential to create change.
TekTok is where coders, designers, and changemakers meet to build a fairer future — one idea at a time.
Digital Hekaya
Digital Hekaya means “Digital Stories” in Swahili. It is a storytelling and expression program that encourages women and girls to share their voices and experiences online with courage, creativity, and authenticity.
Rooted in the feminist principles of the internet, Digital Hekaya promotes digital expression as a right. Through storytelling, art, podcasts, spoken word, and community conversations, the program nurtures safe and joyful spaces where women can reflect, speak up, and connect with others.
By centering expression as power, Digital Hekaya supports women in reclaiming their narratives, challenging digital silencing, and shaping online spaces that reflect their truths.
